Feedback from visiting officials at our events has been very positive. Thank you everyone for making our guests feel so welcome.
Official training has been occurring on an informal basis, with a number of GRR members learning to penalty box time and jam time. Several inters skaters have also been learning to ref. The committee has plans for some more formal sessions on the various NSO positions. These will take place immediately before practice on Sunday afternoons, giving attendees an opportunity to practise what they have learnt. The first session will be on penalty box timing led by Puma and will take place sometime in January (date TBC).
We have a tournament head ref for Chaos on the Clyde 2024, and Candy is working on recruiting a tournament head NSO. We are still short of officials for the Merry Mashup on the 2nd December.
Skyclaw has agreed to take over responsibility for recruitment of officials for games from Candy, but the handover has not yet taken place.
